When I think of Laguna Beach I think of sandy beaches, warm breezes and sparse parking. To that list I’ve also added great comedy. Once a month Lynn Epstein summons a group of 7-8 comedians to perform at the Laguna Beach Brewing Co., 422 So. Coast Hwy. Since the show is only once a month (twice a month during the tourist season) Lynn is only able to invite a handful of comedians she sees around the clubs in LA and OC to perform. My Valley friends, I haven’t forsaken you. There are two places to check out, hosted by the always busy, Dante. Tuesday nights at THE PIT inside the Canoga Park Bowl, 20122 Vanowen in Canoga Park, there is an entire evening of comedy, and word has it, it’s free to the public (if you are over 21.) Open mike sign up begins at 8 pm.

Dante’s also just started a room at Yankee Doodles in Woodlands Hills, 21870 Victory Blvd. Every Wednesday night at 8 pm he has a short open mike (3-5 minutes).
