If you are an up-and-coming comedian, or just a fan of comedy, there are two websites that you must have bookmarked:

The first is http://www.heylady.com. HeyLady has tons of resources for comedians, including a list of comedy clubs, open mikes, stand-up classes, competitions and right now they are running a poll about the NBC reality show, "Last Comic Standing." HeyLady also puts out a monthly newsletter called "Laugh Support," which includes interviews with comedians, actors and writers, upcoming comedy festivals and competitions and a Q and A section with Comedian Jeff Jena.

The second is http://www.chucklemonkey.com. I go to this site specifically to find out about the open mikes and booked shows around Los Angeles. It not only gives the facts, but it also allows comments from comedians who've played the room. I also enjoy the "Poo-Flingin" Message Boards, where you can get feedback from others in the biz. It's a fairly new website and I think with more support it could become a great meeting place.
