I had a fabulous time last Thursday night at the Ugly Mug, 261 N. Glassell St. in Orange. The guy who runs it, Johnny Dam, was all about allowing us to work out new material. There wasn't the pressure to put out our "A material" or use stuff we knew got the laughs. Johnny's only request was that we support our fellow comedians, which we did. It was a nice change of pace from other open mikes. Instead of judgment and criticism, comedians gave one another support, open laughter and applause. Good show!
